Sea-Blue/Green Dresser

I think these half-finished DIY jobs are always my favorite to transform. It is quite funny how often I get these, and while I feel sad that someone else had a vision for it that just never quite came to life I also feel happy that it wasn't just tossed out!

Maybe we've been watching too much Little Mermaid or something, but lately I have been going much more beachy. I just think it is a really neat contradiction to more elegant pieces, and I am kind of inspired by the idea of a shipwreck. Jewels, gold, beautiful furniture all washed up on shore.

The color was hard to accurately get a shot of! It is really a green in some lights, blue in others.

I very rarely keep the original knobs, but the oversized button knobs we just so fun!!

I am getting tight on space here too, since I usually don't find this much time to get things done in between clients (I still only accept 2 clients per week, but with the longer days I seem to be much more productive!). If I can get the back yard in order ASAP I am considering holding a garden party/sale for all my clients where we will just have furniture lining the yard and any accessories that are starting to overflow out of my basement "prop room". Kind of sounds like a fun excuse to hang out with all of my lovely decor-istas!

Love the color. I've been using a similar blue green on some accessories for my pool house and love how the paint transforms during the day and night.

The first picture of the dresser made me chuckle. I wonder if they meant for it to look that way. Anyway, the new coat of paint looks fantastic. In the pictures, it almost appears as though it goes from lighter to darker, from the top down. Camera trick or intentional? Either way, gorgeous!!

I love the color! I have the same deal happening with my kitchen/living/dining room paint. Sometimes it's warm and toasty tan and then other times it's a cool grey color. That's the trouble with having a room with big windows on the East & West sides. It drives me a little crazy cuz it's not easy to decorate around an ever changing room color.

It's really pretty! It totally is rare that you find a piece where you want to keep the hardware, but I agree...I really like the original knobs, they are super sweet!

That is a great color, what is it? I would like to use that for a wall?

I love those big button knobs. Normally I wouldn't touch those with a 10 foot pole, but those really make that piece! Was that paint a mistint? if so, good find!

Sooooo wish I lived closer, to buy up some of your gorgeous hard work! You have inspired me and my husband is getting very concerned for his garage space as I have bought a buffet, coffee table and 2 dressers in the last week to try and make some magic myself. We live on Vancouver Island no one really NEEDS to park in their garage here, right?!

Thanks so much guys!! As usual, I custom mixed it with a few shades of blue and a warm cream so I have no color name to share :(
